SII Concatel celebrates the seventh anniversary of the SDGs and reaffirms its commitment to the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.
This September marks 7 years since the United Nations approved, together with 193 countries, the creation of the 2030 Agenda conveyed through the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At SII Concatel we want to celebrate this anniversary to reaffirm our commitment to the 2030 Agenda and to achieve, through technology, the development of a more sustainable, fair, inclusive, egalitarian and respectful society.
Although we contribute to a greater or lesser extent to all the goals, the nature of our activity allows us to be more relevant in some than in others, so we work actively in those Sustainable Development Goals where we can have a greater impact.
In this regard, one more year we continue to grow in the number of SDGs we actively influence and we have already achieved an active commitment to 82% of them.
Aware of the importance of these Sustainable Development Goals, we seek to ensure that our activity is fully aligned with the values and actions they promote.
We make sure we work with people, organisations and companies that share this commitment and we try to adapt and improve our activity every day to influence and actively support their fulfilment.
We are committed to sustainability
We always maintain a sustainable attitude towards the environment by supporting initiatives that promote greater environmental responsibility and we act in favour of the development of environmentally friendly technologies by investing in European R&D&I projects.
We are committed to reducing the ecological impact of our actions and in recent years we have managed to reduce CO2 emissions as well as water and paper consumption.
We have international certifications, such as Ecovadis, and we are part of the CDP ranking; facts that endorse SII Concatel’s commitment to sustainability.
We care about the well-being of our employees
We want all our employees to be treated well regardless of their position, we want them to be proud when they achieve the objectives they set themselves, we want their superiors to trust them and we try to make them feel welcome during their incorporation and stay in the company.
We care about their health and well-being through our own Prevention Service and the launch and communication of healthy initiatives.
For all these reasons we have been certified as a Great Place to Work in Spain, one of the most prestigious national and international recognitions.
We work to make a better society
We are an active member of the Spanish Network for the Global Compact and we promote equality of conditions in the workplace, focusing on building a non-discriminatory work culture.
We therefore have a Code of Ethics that regulates our actions, as well as those of our customers, suppliers and other collaborators.
We also have an Equality Plan that governs our actions and we collaborate with various third sector organisations such as Fundación Cares or Codec, which work for the inclusion in the labour market of people at risk of exclusion.
We also participate in various social initiatives in which we contribute our technological expertise with the aim of reducing the digital divide.
These are our lines of action under which we will continue to work and improve in order to further promote the Sustainable Development Goals. By aligning our activity to these we firmly believe that we contribute to making a better world.
